The Summer Roundup has been changed to the Mustangs Summer Stampede. The decision was made by NSA to move our date and we took the opportunity to change the name as well. If you've ever been to the Mustang Summer Roundup, you'll know how great a tournament the Mustangs put on!
We host 3 tournaments each year. In the Spring we have the Hueytown Purple and Gold Classic which is one of the main starting dates for teams each year, In the summer we have the Summer Roundup (now the Summer Stampede) which is a great date for Summer teams! All school players are back and the teams have had time to get into gear! The Fall Roundup is a great time for Fall Players, in addition we usually split the 10U into Silver and Gold for both the Spring and Fall tournaments.
Come try our Summer Stampede, I promise you a great time and it'll be a well run event! The winning is up to you...!

Tournament Results
What a scorcher!! With the weather hitting in the high 90's these girls played some great softball!
The top two from each age are as follows:
8U #1 Shock, #2 Bama Crushers 99
12U #1 Twisters, #2 Tusc Tide
14U #1 Vipers Glory, #2 WL Blue 93
Great game and it all came down to the last bat in the last inning driving home the winning run!
16/18U #1 WL Blue, #2 Red Storm Elite
In the Home Run Contest the winners were (I appologize in advance for the spelling):
8U Catelynn (Bama Crushers)
12U Katlyn (Twisters)
14U Daniel (WL Blue 93)
16/18U Nikki (Bama Explosion)
The 16/18U was tied and we gave both girls 1 hit to break the tie, Long Ball the Winner. The Maria hit it about 3 feet from the fence. Nikki stepped up and launched another over to Win!!!
We had a great time with the Home run Contest.
In The Bat Raffle we gave away a nice Easton Bat. Each girl from the HR Contest had three entries in addition to all the people who bought tickets. The winner was.......... Catelynn from the Bama Crushers winning off her entry for launching the Long Ball!!!
Way to go Catelynn!!
This was our first Mustang Roundup and I think it was a great success! I've received emails today and had lots of comments at the park about how nice the tournament was.
We did have some problems, but we tried to work them out and resolve them.
Thanks to all the teams that came and the wonderful words of praise that we received on the tournament. I hope everyone had fun, despite the heat and that all will return next year for another great weekend of ball!!
Feel free to leave comments telling us about your time at the Mustang Roundup!

Gate Information - and MORE!
IN FULTONDALE
There are two gates at Fultondale Park. When you get to the school you'll be pulling in to the school parking and circle to the right of the school.
The road will lead you around to the fields. The first entrance is at the flagpole directly behind the school. This is where the coaches need to check in at. This is the only place to sign in as a coach and get in free.
Only 3 coaches will be allowed in free and there are 3 spaces to sign in.
The other gate is for field 5 and is a little further down. Just as you turn there is a turn-in to the parking lot. This is where the 8U teams will play on Saturday. Coaches still need to come in the front gate if they want in free. Sorry but logistics require all coaches to come in one gate to keep up with it and to handle the Team Check-in.
The check-in Table for Rosters and Entry Fee will be here as well.
IN GARDENDALE
There is only one gate. Only 3 coaches will be allowed in free and there are 3 spaces to sign in.
On Friday, Rin will be at Gardendale. Please find Rin and settle up with him on entry Fees and Rosters. On Saturday there will be a tent and table set up to register teams as you come into the fields.
Both Fields
Don't forget to register for the Home Run Contest. It will be fun and there are some nice trophies for the winning girl in each age group.
ALSO
Ragland Screen Printing & The Birmingham Mustangs will be providing Championship T-shirts for the winning teams this weakend!
Good Luck to all teams!

Tournament Vendors
I have sent out emails to the coach's but here is the information about tournament vendors!
Ragland Screen Printing will be selling tshirts and other items at the Fultondale Park from 8am to 2pm on Saturday only. They will move to Gardendale park from 2pm to around 6pm on Saturday. Please visit them while they are at your park or drive over to the other park (only 5 minutes apart). They have some great designs including the Tye Die Shirts!
You can see their design for the Mustang Roundup in the right sidebar. I think it's a great design and should be a big hit!
TimeForPictures Action Photography, while they will not be shooting the entire tournament, will be available to photograph any teams for $200 for a complete game (300-400 pictures). They will be shooting YOUR team exclusively and will provide a disk of the images and the rights to print or use the images on a team website. This is a great way to get lot's of action pictures and the team splits up the price! Around $20 per player, that's about the price of 4 pictures. They have to be booked in advance, so email me and I will make sure they are at one of your games. You will be notified the time they will be there. Email me at garykwray@gmail.com.
More information coming!
